BJP’s Grand Return: A Saffron Dawn on Delhi’s Horizon

New Delhi: The echoes of change resound through Delhi’s alleys and streets, as exit polls foretell a triumphant return for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). With the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections unfolding their tale, the saffron banner is poised to flutter once more over the capital, reclaiming a throne untouched for twenty-seven years.

The Numbers Speak: A Resounding Mandate for BJP

As the twilight of the elections settles, predictions paint a bold picture—one of victory, resurgence, and power. Exit polls stand firm in their chorus, heralding a sweeping mandate for the BJP. The Axis My India survey envisions a range of 45-55 seats, while CNX casts an even wider net, foreseeing 49-61 seats in the party’s grasp. Today’s Chanakya, another trusted oracle of numbers, crowns BJP with 51 seats, leaving AAP far behind in the race.

The consolidated voice of all exit polls bestows 42 out of 70 seats upon the BJP—an ascent beyond the threshold of governance. In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), once the harbinger of Delhi’s political wave, finds itself adrift with a mere 27 seats, a stark departure from its past dominion—67 seats in 2015, 62 in 2020.

Congress Fades into the Shadows

Once the unchallenged ruler of Delhi’s political realm, the Congress party now stands on the fringes of irrelevance. A legacy forged under Sheila Dikshit’s fifteen-year reign seems but a fading ember, as exit polls grant them no more than a single seat—if any at all. Analysts lament the party’s missed opportunity, attributing its downfall to a fractured alliance with AAP and internal discord that has dimmed its presence in both Delhi and Haryana.

AAP Holds Its Ground: A Defiant Voice

Amidst the storm of predictions, AAP remains undeterred. Party leader Sushil Gupta dismisses the projections with unwavering faith, recalling past miscalculations.

“The polls have faltered in the past, and they shall stray once more,”
Gupta declares with unwavering lore.
“The people of Delhi know our fight, the toil, the sweat, the burning light.
When the final veil is drawn away, the truth shall rise like the break of day.”

Yet, the tale remains split. A handful of surveys, including WeePreside and Mind Brink, diverge from the prevailing narrative, envisioning a neck-and-neck battle, with AAP securing 46-52 seats against BJP’s 44-49. Matrize, meanwhile, spins a different plot, suggesting a close contest—BJP with 35-40 seats, AAP trailing at 32-37.

The Final Reckoning Approaches

With Delhi’s fate sealed in the hands of its people, the countdown to decision day begins. A single-phase election, marked by fervent participation, has set the stage for a verdict that will echo through the corridors of power.

As the sun rises on Saturday, the ballots shall unveil their truth. Will the exit polls script history’s next chapter, or will Delhi’s will defy the prophecies once more? Only time shall tell.
